OUR STORY

On the grand stomping grounds of 185 Berry St, Molly asked Hadar for coffee. Haader, Hoder – she didn’t even know how to pronounce his name.

He was 5 minutes late, in classic Hadar fashion. Their 30 minute chat turned into 45, until they had another meeting to run to. He’s cute, she thought.

Hadar was rocking an Alabama Shakes t-shirt. Molly asks, “Are you from Alabama?” And that’s how it all began.

Later that day, Hadar decided to slide into Molly’s Slack DMs with a Spotify playlist.

And the rest is history.

He told her he reads books because she did. Technically, true (she later found out he just likes to buy books).

They went to Hong Kong together after a few weeks of dating, then spent two months apart when Hadar was riding horses in Mongolia, and Molly sleeping on trains in India. Then, they embarked on a 3 week camping trip across the national parks.

She told him she wanted to quit her job and travel for a year. He said “woah me too! Let’s go together.”

Even if he wasn’t planning on it, he now would have if it meant being with her.

COVID stopped the globetrotting but sped up their connection. They lived together in Buenos Aires, then Hawaii, then New York, and ultimately found a home in San Francisco.

But really, home has always been anywhere where they’re together. The safe and caring space they’ve created together isn’t bound by space. Their love grew quickly and deeply.

From cooking together, gathering friends for trips, exploring nature by car and foot, and litigating how many stars to rate movies (sorry.. films) on Letterboxd, it became clear their bond was one that will last forever.

He took her to Japan and got on one knee. She laughed and said “dude, of course.”

TRANSPORTATION

Flying to CA

You can fly into SFO, SJC, or OAK (3.5 hour drive), or to FAT (1.5 hour drive). The closest would be the Fresno airport (FAT). There are also a few other options in the area but the above are the ones we recommend.

Driving to Yosemite

The park is located in a beautiful part of California (the Sierra Nevadas), which also means the only way to get inside is by driving. We recommend renting a car and driving down or carpooling with another guest.

Staying in Yosemite

We recommend staying in Yosemite Valley Lodge or the Ahwahnee hotel (they book fast). We strongly suggest staying in the park (not outside)!
